The Intensive English Program at ALLS consists of a series of ESL courses for beginning, intermediate and advanced students. Our curriculum is dedicated to meeting your practical ESL needs and helps you improve your communication skills. Your course of study at ALLS will include essential vocabulary and dialog increasing in difficulty and expanding in content as your level of proficiency advances! Our program is designed to incorporate Situational English into the classroom setting. Each class meeting provides you with ample opportunities to practice your English and improve your conversation skills. Our teachers will give you accent reduction and pronunciation tips to help you become more confident speaking English in your daily life. We also offer outside activities and social gatherings throughout each semester. Come study with us and make new friends from all over the world!

Placement test & Levels of proficiency
Students will take a placement test in order to determine their appropriate class level. If there is any uncertainty, the language program director will discuss options with the teachers.
Placement tests will include grammar, reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

Our school offers teaching of the foundations of the English language. The English language and culture program is offered year-round under our open enrollment policy. Each session offers 4 weeks of classroom instruction. Each semester offers 15 weeks of classroom instruction. *Hours per week will vary by student’s choice of program (part-time or full-time). - Pre-Arrival: Before arriving to Austin students should ensure that they have the proper visa for ALLS. Students can also inquire about the non-academic program and pricing at this time.
Students are responsible for finding their housing arrangements. ALLS will assist students in finding housing if necessary.
- Arrival: All students will have orientation before the start of the course. Students will get information regarding the school, schedule, and session information in addition to information about Austin.
- Ongoing: As the session continues students will have orientation to discuss any changes in information, and level advancement.
